Loy Joon How, who runs Impact Exhibitions Management, which cares for and manages Impact Muang Thong Thani event complex in Bangkok said simply,  “Clients will now expect higher standards of hygiene and disinfection processes, and we as a venue should rightfully comply in the interest of safety hygiene.” Companies are taking cue from the attendees, who are demanding a higher standard.

We look at a recent Forbes article that describes the latest , highly posh Samsung event in San Francisco, which used high resolutions cameras to screen attendees and delgates for fevers. Thermal imaging technology has become standard practice and the simple price companies are willing to pay to get the events industry back in motion.

This tech will scan between 30 and hundreds of attendees at one time from nine metres away. It maintains an accuracy within 0.3+C.

Kashif Din, Managing Director of Technology Rental recently stated, “Thermal imaging technology is one of our most popular requests right now. The industry and attendees are benefitting from additional screening and the peace of mind that comes with technological vigilance.”

It was well stated recently by Nancy Sutta Berns, senior program manager for Conference Management Services which handle scientific conferences. “Even dispensers for soap and hand sanitizers need to be touchless to prevent the spreading of germs,” Nancy said, “Those things need to be automatic, not pump bottles.”

Companies are signing up for and ordering contactless sanitising kiosks by the dozen, and the brand of choice tends to be those with digital signage that can advocate hygiene practices to safeguard attendees and staff while having the option of additional promotional messaging.
